Our Curriculum
The Paraprofessional Training Institute offers a comprehensive range of training programs for both new and experienced direct care workers. Entry-level training equips jobseekers with essential skills for home care and community-based services, using interactive methods and meeting all state requirements. Specialized training programs cover a variety of crucial areas, including annual competency and in-service training, behavioral health, physical disabilities, and technology. Additionally, the Institute provides training for informal caregivers, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to safely care for their family members and community members. These programs ensure that all caregivers are well-prepared to meet the diverse needs of their clients and stay updated with the latest advancements in their field. Accessible both online and in-person, the Institute's programs offer flexible learning options to accommodate different schedules and learning preferences.

The Paraprofessional Training Institute is closely affiliated with Home Care Associates (HCA), an award-winning, worker-owned home care agency serving the Philadelphia metropolitan area, Chester County, and Delaware County.
